Wage/Salary Range: Competitive hourly wage, based on experience

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday (occasional overtime as required)

Hours Per Day: 8 hours per day

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Parts Technician – Heavy Duty Equipment to join our valued client’s team in Calgary, Alberta. This full-time position is offered as an Indigenous Career Opportunity and is ideally suited to an Indigenous candidate interested in building a stable, long-term career in equipment support, inventory management, and industrial operations within a safety-focused work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, label, and organize parts and materials for heavy duty equipment

  • Issue parts to mechanics and maintenance personnel efficiently and accurately

  • Track inventory levels, conduct stock counts, and complete required documentation

  • Coordinate parts orders with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts room, warehouse, or yard

  • Identify and classify heavy duty equipment components using parts catalogues and systems

  • Follow all site safety, inventory, and operational procedures

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience in a parts, warehouse, materials handling, or industrial role

  • Basic computer skills, including inventory systems and email

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to lift, move, and handle parts and materials safely

  • Willingness to work in an industrial environment and follow safety standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Indigenous heritage (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit)

  • Experience with heavy duty equipment, automotive, or mechanical systems

  • Formal Parts Technician training or interest in pursuing certification

  • Familiarity with OEM parts catalogues and inventory software

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Work Environment:

  • Industrial shop, warehouse, and yard environments

  • Regular interaction with heavy duty equipment, tools, and mechanical components

  • Strict adherence to PPE requirements and site-specific safety policies
