Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Finishing Dozer Operator to join our valued client’s team in the Calgary, AB area. This is a full-time position suited to an experienced operator with strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and a proven record of producing high-quality finish-grade work.
Responsibilities:
Operate dozers safely and efficiently to achieve final grade specifications.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues.
Work collaboratively with foremen, surveyors, and other operators to meet project targets.
Maintain smooth and precise control of the dozer during backfilling, leveling, and sloping operations.
Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience operating finishing dozers (Caterpillar D6–D8 or equivalent).
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
CSTS, Ground Disturbance, and H2S Alive certifications required.
Strong understanding of grade stakes, GPS systems, and site drawings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on civil earthworks or oil and gas construction sites.
Familiarity with Trimble GPS systems and automated blade control.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in team environments.
Work Environment:
Outdoor work in variable weather conditions.
Operation of heavy equipment in active construction environments.
PPE required at all times; adherence to site safety rules is mandatory.
