Wage/Salary Range: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work as required

Hours Per Day: 8–10 hours per day

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Maintenance Technician to join our Valued Clients team at an oat milling facility in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual with a strong mechanical background who is committed to equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and safe work practices in a production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on oat milling equipment and facility systems.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor equipment repairs to minimize production downtime.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and related processing equipment.

  • Maintain maintenance records and report equipment performance or repair needs to supervisors.

  • Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently according to site procedures and safety standards.

  • Maintain clean and organized maintenance work areas and assist with equipment installations or upgrades when required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an industrial maintenance, mechanical, or equipment maintenance role.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.

  • Experience working in manufacturing, milling, agricultural processing, or industrial environments.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for transportation to the worksite.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, standing, climbing, and working around industrial equipment.

  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and following operational procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in grain handling, milling, or agricultural processing facilities.

  • Forklift certification or previous experience operating forklifts.

  • Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and mechanical systems.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in an oat milling and grain processing facility.

  • Environment may include dust, noise, moving machinery, and industrial processing equipment.

  • Proper PPE and safety procedures must be followed at all times.
