GrizzlyTrek is seeking Indigenous electricians and apprentices to join our valued client's team on a project based in Calgary, Alberta. This is a full-time opportunity supporting industrial and commercial electrical installation and maintenance work. We are filling both journeyperson seats and apprentice seats across all four years.Journeypersons will work hands-on in the field, mentor apprentices, and coordinate with site teams to deliver quality, code-compliant electrical work safely and on schedule. Apprentices will build their skills alongside Red Seal journeypersons while advancing through their apprenticeship.
What You'll Do
- Perform industrial and commercial electrical installations and maintenance
- Support industrial and commercial construction projects
- Carry out cable pulling and terminations, cable tray installations, MCCs, PLCs, lighting, and power distribution
- Work outdoors and at heights, including trenching and general physical labour
- Read prints and complete reports, QA/QC, and safety documentation
- Apprentices: build your skills under supervision and advance through your apprenticeship
- Journeypersons: mentor apprentices and coordinate with site teams
What You Bring
- Indigenous identity (First Nations, Metis, Inuit, or non-status Indigenous)
- Journeyperson seats: Journeyperson or Red Seal Electrician certification
- Apprentice seats: registered, or eligible to register, as a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year apprentice in the Alberta electrician trade
- Industrial and/or commercial construction experience appropriate to your level
- Ability to read prints and complete reports, QA/QC, and safety documentation
- Valid driver's license and readiness to travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Rigid conduit experience
- Safety tickets: Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform (AWP), and Standard First Aid
