Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Dredge Boat Operator (Marine Equipment Operator) to join our Valued Clients team at project sites across Alberta. This is a full-time, project-based position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate marine equipment including boats, barges, and dredges
  • Follow all company, client, and industry safety regulations and standards
  • Conduct Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA)
  • Report and assist in resolving hazards, incidents, and near-misses
  • Support team operations and complete additional assigned duties

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating marine equipment
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A3 or SDV-BS certification
  • Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP)
  • CSO or BSO certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in remote or industrial project environments
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor work in variable and sometimes harsh weather conditions
  • Exposure to wet, noisy, and physically demanding environments
  • Interaction with team members, clients, and subcontractors
