The Site
Rankin Inlet is a remote community on the northwest coast of Hudson Bay in Nunavut, reached by air. This is fly-in fly-out work. Welders and pipefitters are on the same job site, so you will work alongside the other trade.What You'll Do
- Weld to the drawings and weld procedures provided for the job
- Tack and weld material and assemblies to the job's quality standard
- Prep joints and keep the work clean and ready to weld
- Work alongside the pipefitters on site
- Check your own welds and support inspection and testing of finished work
- Take part in hazard assessments and safety meetings, and follow site safety procedures

- Proven welding experience
- The ability to read drawings and weld to procedure
- Willingness to work fly-in fly-out in a remote Nunavut community
- A safety-first approach and a team-first attitude on a shared site
