The Role
GrizzlyTrek is seeking one PLM Data Migration Lead to join our value-added client's team in Montreal, Quebec. This is a full-time contract position leading the migration of product and configuration data from an existing Teamcenter environment to a new version of the platform.
You will drive and coordinate every migration activity the transition requires. Working closely with the business, the global data migration team, and an external data migration partner, you will make sure all product and configuration data transfers accurately, consistently, and in a quality assured manner. You will shape the migration strategy, confirm mapping logic, validate data integrity, and get the business ready for go live.
What You'll Do
  • Lead all data migration activities for the Teamcenter transition, keeping them aligned with global processes and timelines
  • Work with the global data migration team and the external migration partner so scope, mapping, migration rules, and quality gates are interpreted the same way by everyone
  • Own data scope, mapping, transformation logic, and validation, making sure migrated data is at least as useful and accessible as it was in the original system, and preferably better
  • Define and validate attribute mapping between old and new Teamcenter data structures, covering items, BOMs, metadata, classifications, and engineering artifacts
  • Identify, profile, and assess legacy data issues, including inconsistencies carried over from earlier migrations, and coordinate remediation
  • Coordinate extraction, cleansing, transformation, and load (ETL) work across internal subject matter experts, the migration partner, and global PLM teams
  • Assess and govern non Teamcenter sources of product data (spreadsheets, legacy systems, local tools) and bring the required content into the new environment
  • Ready the business for each migration cycle: test loads, validation rounds, defect resolution, and final cutover
  • Manage quality gates and acceptance criteria in line with global PLM rollout governance, and support change management as teams adapt to the new data structures and ways of working
  • Coordinate with functional subject matter experts (engineering, CAD, parts and BOMs, service, CAE, manufacturing) and report progress, risks, and issues to project and global migration leadership
Key Responsibility Areas
  • Scope, mapping and data ownership. Lead the creation and maintenance of detailed data mapping specifications, attribute lists, and transformation rules. Validate mapping with the migration partner, global data migration, and business subject matter experts, and keep mapping decisions aligned with future processes and data model updates.
  • Data extraction, cleansing and transformation. Oversee extraction of Teamcenter data including items, BOMs, metadata, and documents. Drive cleansing and correction of legacy issues in line with current business processes. Review transformations and provide sign-off for each migration cycle.
  • Data loading and validation. Coordinate and take part in test loads into sandbox and production environments. Lead validation rounds, reconcile discrepancies, close out data defects, and confirm that migrated data supports the intended business processes and is production ready.
  • Multi-team orchestration. Act as the primary interface between the business, global migration, and the migration partner. Coordinate with engineering, service, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality subject matter experts on data decisions, and keep local and global migration activity consistent.
  • Documentation and governance. Maintain migration documentation including mapping specs, data rules, validation scripts, risk registers, and issue logs. Support global rollout governance, checklist completion, and milestone quality gates.
What You Bring
  • Proven experience with Teamcenter and Active Workspace data structures, item management, revisions, BOMs, and metadata rules
  • Strong background in data analysis, data quality assessment, and handling complex engineering datasets
  • Prior experience leading or executing PLM data migrations
  • Hands-on experience with mapping design, ETL workflows, and data validation frameworks
  • Solid understanding of core engineering product data: items, BOMs, specifications, CAD data, and service BOM variants
  • Ability to coordinate multiple technical and business teams toward a fixed cutover date
  • Clear, structured reporting of progress, risks, and issues to senior stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with multi-system enterprise PLM migrations
  • Experience with large OEM or complex engineered products, giving sound judgement on product structure and configuration
  • Familiarity with ERP integration contexts, part master data flows, and downstream ERP touchpoints
What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications
  • Opportunities for overtime based on operational requirements
  • Life insurance: $100,000 employee / $10,000 spouse / $5,000 per child
  • AD&D insurance with critical illness and cancer coverage
  • Extended health care: drugs, hospital, hearing, orthotics, nursing
  • Paramedical services: chiro, physio, massage, mental health (annual coverage)
  • Vision care: glasses, contacts, laser surgery, and exams
  • Dental care: 80% basic ($2,500), 50% major ($2,500), $2,500 ortho for children
  • Travel insurance: up to $5,000,000 per incident (trips up to 90 days)
  • Ongoing training and career development support
