Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Semi-Vac Operator to join our Valued Clients team at project sites in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety in oilfield operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate semi-vac trucks safely and efficiently in oilfield and industrial environments
- Perform hydrovac and fluid hauling operations in accordance with site requirements
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine equipment maintenance
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and client procedures
- Complete daily logs, safety documentation, and job reports accurately
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (required)
- H2S Alive certification (valid)
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification
- Standard First Aid certification
- Previous experience operating semi-vac or similar equipment in oilfield settings
- Strong understanding of oilfield safety practices and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hydrovac, fluid hauling, or combo unit operations
- Additional safety tickets (e.g., Ground Disturbance, TDG) considered an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Work Environment:
- Field-based role in active oilfield and industrial sites
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and physically demanding tasks
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
