Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking We are seeking a Construction Coordinator (E&I) with owner‑side or owner’s representative experience to support execution of large industrial capital projects. This role represents the owner in coordinating E&I construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and handover to Operations while overseeing EPC contractors and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee E&I construction and commissioning activities on behalf of the owner
  • Interface with EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, commissioning teams, and operations
  • Ensure safe, compliant execution aligned with drawings, specifications, and project schedules
  • Support construction sequencing, workface planning, progress tracking, and constraint resolution
  • Participate in pre‑commissioning, commissioning, startup, turnover, and handover to Operations
  • Review/redline drawings, manage punch lists, deficiencies, and system readiness
  • Provide clear field status updates and execution feedback to project leadership

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive E&I experience, including owner‑side or owner’s representative roles
  • Background progression through Journeyman / Technician, Foreman / Lead, and E&I or Construction Coordination roles
  • Experience on large industrial projects ranging from $50MM to multi‑billion‑dollar scopes
  • Strong technical experience with:
    • Electrical power distribution (LV, MV, HV)
    • Instrumentation and controls
    • DCS / SIS systems (loop checks, C&E testing)
    • Substations, EHT, temporary power, and shutdowns/turnarounds
  • Proven ability to coordinate across engineering, construction, commissioning, vendors, and operations
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, schedule integration, and risk/constraint management
  • Exposure to Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) or structured workface planning preferred
  • Demonstrated safety leadership in high‑risk E&I environments

  1. Have you worked directly for an asset owner or as an owner’s representative (not solely for an EPC or subcontractor) on large industrial projects?

    Do you have 10 or more years of progressive Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) experience on industrial projects?

    Have you directly overseen EPC contractors and multiple subcontractors on behalf of an owner?

    Have you coordinated E&I construction activities across active construction sites, module yards, or live operating facilities?

    Do you have experience coordinating E&I scope with construction sequencing, schedule integration, and constraint management?

    Do you have direct experience with the following?

    • ☐ LV / MV / HV power distribution
    • ☐ Instrumentation & controls
    • ☐ DCS / SIS systems (loop checks, C&E testing)
    • ☐ Substations / EHT / temporary power
    • ☐ Shutdowns or turnarounds
