Position Type: Full-time

Wage/Salary Range: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, with overtime eligibility

Shift Schedule: 21 days on / 7 days off rotation

Hours Per Day: 10–12 hours per day

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Entry-Level Floorhand (New Class 1 License Holder) to join our Valued Clients team at service rig and rod rig locations across Alberta. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety. This role is designed for individuals who have recently obtained their Class 1 license and are looking to gain hands-on experience and training as a floorhand within the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the operation, rig-up, and rig-down of service rig and rod rig equipment
  • Perform physically demanding labor including handling tubing, rods, and tools
  • Support the crew in day-to-day rig operations as an entry-level floorhand
  • Operate and drive Class 1 vehicles to transport equipment and materials as required
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free worksite

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (newly obtained)
  • Recent labor experience in oil and gas, construction, or similar industrial environments
  • Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Physically fit and capable of heavy manual labor
  • Ability to work long hours in remote locations and varying weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous exposure to service rigs or rod rigs
  • Valid safety tickets (H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO)
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong teamwork skills

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor, physically demanding environment on active service rigs and rod rigs
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and remote field locations
  • Safety-focused, team-oriented atmosphere requiring high attention to detail
