Shift Schedule: Day shift, site-based schedule
Hours Per Day: 10–12 hours per day, based on operational requirements

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one SR Mobile Equipment Planner to join our Valued Clients team in the Chetwynde area. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an experienced operations professional committed to safety, leadership, and operational excellence in a gas processing environment.
Position Summary
The Senior Mobile Equipment Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and optimizing maintenance activities for heavy mobile equipment to ensure maximum equipment availability, reliability, and safety. This role works closely with Maintenance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Field Supervision to drive compliance, reduce downtime, and control maintenance costs.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
Develop detailed maintenance plans (preventative, corrective, shutdown).
Build weekly and 14–30 day lookahead schedules.
Ensure labor, parts, tools, and external services are aligned prior to job execution.
Review backlog and prioritize work based on risk, production impact, and safety.
Reliability & Optimization
Analyze equipment history to identify repeat failures and reliability gaps.
Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) initiatives.
Improve PM strategies and task lists based on failure data.
Track KPIs: equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, schedule compliance.
Work Management
Maintain CMMS integrity (work orders, BOMs, job plans, equipment records).
Ensure scope clarity and standardized job packages.
Coordinate with supply chain to confirm parts availability.
Validate completed work and close out documentation.
Cost & Performance Control
Monitor maintenance spend vs. budget.
Forecast labor and material requirements.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or reliability.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all plans meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Confirm JHAs, permits, and isolation plans are incorporated into job packages.
Support audit readiness and documentation compliance.
Qualifications
Education
Trade Certification (Heavy Equipment Technician preferred) OR
Engineering Technologist / Mechanical Diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience
8+ years in heavy mobile equipment maintenance.
3+ years in a planning/scheduling role.
Experience in mining, oil & gas, heavy civil, or industrial operations preferred.
Strong CMMS experience (SAP, Maximo, JD Edwards, etc.).
Core Competencies
Advanced maintenance planning and scheduling.
Strong understanding of heavy equipment systems (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, etc.).
Data-driven decision-making.
High attention to detail and documentation discipline.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in high-production environments.

Work Environment:
This role is based at an active industrial operating site near Chetwynde BC and involves both field and office-based responsibilities. The position requires strict adherence to safety standards, use of personal protective equipment, and the ability to work in an industrial environment.
