Job Title: Millwright/Mechanical Technician 

Job Summary:  GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is currently seeking a Millwright/Mechanical Technician for a temporary role beginning February 10th, 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for short-term work before upcoming shutdowns. 

Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Schedule: 4 days on, 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities  

  • Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs, including replacing fan belts, anti-windmill devices, and grease bearings. 

  • Swap out HVAC filters, lube oil, and lube oil filters as required. 

  • Replace pump mechanical seals and ensure the proper functioning of mechanical equipment. 

  • Operate independently and within a team, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues. 

  • Utilize rigging experience to safely move and install heavy components. 

Requirements 

  • Journeyperson Millwright Certification preferred, but experienced Mechanical Technicians will be considered. 

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently. 

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical maintenance tasks, including pump seal replacements and lubrication systems. 

  • Rigging experience is a strong asset. 

  • Valid safety certifications (e.g., CSTS, WHMIS, H2S Alive) or willingness to obtain before deployment. 

  • Ability to work in an industrial setting and comply with all safety protocols.
