The Role
GrizzlyTrek is seeking Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our value-added client's team in Clairmont, Alberta. This is a full-time opportunity maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fracturing units, both in the shop and in the field as part of a fracturing crew.
Both journeypersons and apprentices are encouraged to apply. Apprentices receive paid time off to attend technical training toward the next level of their apprenticeship, along with on-the-job training and mentoring from an experienced team.
What You'll Do
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fracturing units
  • Interpret work orders and technical manuals in both paper and electronic formats
  • Keep organized, accurate maintenance reports and documentation
  • Work both in the shop and perform field repairs as part of a fracturing crew
  • Communicate directly with management and field staff
  • Work on call as required, including additional overtime when necessary
What You Bring
  • Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician certification, or an equivalent level of skills and experience
  • A self-motivated work ethic with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills for direct coordination with management and field staff
  • Ability to perform both shop and field repairs
  • Willingness to work on call and take on overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) license
  • Caterpillar powertrain experience
  • Hydraulic troubleshooting experience
  • Fluid transfer experience
  • Class 1 driver's license
Work Environment
  • Work is performed both in the shop and in the field as part of a fracturing crew
  • Rotational schedule with two options: 8 days on, 6 days off or 16 days on, 12 days off
  • On-call availability and overtime required based on operational needs
