GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our valued client's team at a service rig operation in either Grande Prairie or Slave Lake, Alberta. This is a full-time permanent position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety, with experience working on or around service rigs.What You'll Do
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on service rigs and related heavy-duty equipment
- Inspect mechanical systems to identify issues and ensure optimal performance
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety protocols at all times
What You Bring
- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification or equivalent experience
- Proven experience working on heavy equipment, preferably service rigs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company and site procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Highway (CVIP) certification considered an asset
- Experience in oil and gas or service rig environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment
- Field-based work in oil and gas service rig settings
- Exposure to outdoor conditions and physically demanding tasks
- Camp accommodations provided in both Grande Prairie and Slave Lake locations
