Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Derrick Hand to support service rig operations in the Grande Prairie area. This role is suited to an experienced individual responsible for working at heights, supporting rig operations, and ensuring safe handling of tubing, rods, and rig equipment during well servicing activities.
Responsibilities:
Work from the derrick or elevated positions during service rig operations
Handle tubing, rods, and rig equipment as directed by the Driller
Assist with rig-up and rig-down activities
Monitor equipment and work areas for unsafe conditions
Communicate effectively with the rig crew and supervision
Follow all site safety policies, procedures, and client requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience working as a Derrick Hand on service rigs
Comfortable working at heights in a safety-sensitive environment
Strong understanding of service rig operations and safety practices
Physically capable of performing demanding manual labor
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience on a variety of service rig operations
Valid oilfield safety certifications
Work Environment:
Oilfield service rig and wellsite environments
Exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and heavy equipment
Working at heights is a regular requirement
Mandatory use of personal protective equipment
