Wage/Salary Range: Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience and qualifications
Shift Schedule: 4 on, 3 days off rotation
Hours Per Day: 10 hours per day

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Gas Plant Operator (Fourth-Class Power Engineer) to join our Valued Clients team at a gas plant facility in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This is a permanent full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to operational excellence, safety, and long-term career growth. This role offers significant advancement potential, as the facility is classified as a Third-Class Power Engineer plant.
Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor gas plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance activities
Monitor process conditions and respond to alarms and operational upsets
Complete operational logs, reports, and regulatory documentation accurately
Support safe start-ups, shutdowns, and normal plant operations
Comply with all safety, environmental, and company operating procedures
Qualifications:
Fourth-Class Power Engineer certification (minimum requirement)
Minimum of three years of relevant operating experience
Strong understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license and legal eligibility to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in natural gas plant operations
Experience in deep cut facilities
Exposure to refrigeration, power generation, and field operations
Work Environment:
Operating gas plant facility in the Grande Prairie area
Local position with no camp provided
Home every night
Physically active industrial environment requiring adherence to strict safety standards
