Wage/Salary Range: Competitive hourly wage based on experience; overtime paid in accordance with applicable legislation
Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, with overtime as required
Hours Per Day: 8–12 hours, depending on operational requirements

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Shop and Hydro-Vac Swamper to join our Valued Clients team in Fort St. John. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety. This opportunity is ideal for someone seeking to gain hands-on industry experience and work toward obtaining a Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
Perform general shop duties including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining work areas
Wash and maintain vacuum trucks and related equipment
Assist mechanics with maintenance and repair tasks as required
Support hydro-vac and vacuum truck operations as a swamper on active job sites
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Maintain tools and equipment in safe and operational condition
Qualifications:
Valid H2S Alive certification
Valid First Aid certification
Confined Space certification
Reliable transportation to and from the shop in Fort St. John
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour in various weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working around hydro-vac or vacuum trucks
Mechanical aptitude or prior shop experience
Interest in obtaining a Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license
Work Environment:
Combination of shop-based duties and fieldwork on active project sites
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and industrial environments
Physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Strict adherence to safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment
