GrizzlyTrek is seeking one Senior Manager, Contract Management to join our valued client's team at the ENZHEC facility in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time contract position supporting the Edmonton 3 Blue Hydrogen Project.With the majority of sourcing activities completed, this role is execution-focused. The successful candidate will manage construction-phase contracts, including unit rate, Time and Material (T&M), and reimbursable contracts. The position requires deep experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and strong systems capability, particularly within SAP and LEMS-based processes.
What You'll Do
Contract Execution and Administration:- Lead contract administration for third-party services, engineering, and construction contracts at the project site
- Manage construction contracts executed on Time and Material, unit rate, and reimbursable bases, ensuring strict compliance with contractual terms and conditions
- Oversee EPC and EPCM-related contracts, amendments, and commercial interfaces during construction execution
- Manage and validate T&M cost controls, including labor, equipment, material, and indirect cost components
- Review, analyze, and approve contractor invoices, ensuring alignment with approved rates, backup documentation, and contract terms
- Lead change order development, evaluation, negotiation, and approval, ensuring timely commercial resolution and documentation
- Monitor contractor performance against contractual, commercial, and schedule obligations, escalating issues as required
- Act as the primary commercial interface between construction, engineering, procurement, finance, project controls, and external contractors
- Manage multiple internal and external stakeholders, balancing commercial risk, execution needs, and relationship management
- Utilize SAP and contract management systems to support cost tracking, commitments, accruals, forecasting, and reporting
- Apply LEMS processes to support disciplined contract execution, cost transparency, and governance compliance
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities during construction execution and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure contract execution aligns with project governance, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Support claims avoidance through proactive contract administration and early issue resolution
What You Bring
- Extensive experience in contract management within large construction or industrial projects, preferably in energy, hydrogen, or heavy industrial facilities
- Demonstrated experience managing Time and Material and unit rate construction contracts during execution phases
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex contracts simultaneously in fast-paced site environments
- Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting construction execution teams
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Technical and Professional Skills
- Advanced experience administering Time and Material construction contracts, including cost validation and rate analysis
- Strong understanding of construction contract structures, EPC/EPCM models, and third-party service agreements
- Hands-on experience with SAP (advanced user) for commitments, cost tracking, accruals, and reporting
- Proficiency with LEMS processes and governance frameworks
- Cost tracking, forecasting, and budget control for construction-phase contracts
- Invoice validation, reconciliation, and audit support
- Labor, equipment, and indirect rate benchmarking and analysis
- Change order management, documentation, and commercial negotiation
- Strong systems-focused mindset with the ability to leverage tools and data for decision-making
- Understanding of construction scheduling, resource planning, and interface management
Work Environment
This is a site-based role at the ENZHEC facility in Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will be embedded within the construction execution team and should be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced industrial project environment.What We Offer
